Today we are going to shares some tips on growing your Instagram account as a designer.
Growing on Instagram is a question that we get asked a lot- and fair to say over the past few months; we've learnt a lot.
The number one thing though is; There is no secret recipe to growing on Instagram.
What we've found that growing on Instagram relies on 6 primary pillars- so we've compiled those into one post! The 6 pillars of social media growth are:
1. Be niche to be seen.
Let's face it: Instagram is a crowded place. If you want to stand out, you need to start by doing just one thing and being the best at it. Peopple will follow you because of one specfic talent. No random cats pics!
2. Be authentic.
If you don't care about your current community or people who engage with your posts, people will not invest their time in you or your content. Making sure intentions are right from the start is important.
3. Provide value.
Don't even start an account with the intention of promoting yourself. Create content that is deemed valuable to people, and in return, you will start to rack up a following.
4. Post consistently
You have probably heard this one before...
but consistency is king. Showing that you are active to potential followers is an attractive look & will enhance your conversion rate from visitor to followers!
5. Engage.
If someone comments on your post, reply! Start a conversation! (without being a creep) If someone has taken the time out of their day to write something on YOUR content, they deserve your time too!
6. Share your knowledge.
People love to learn new things! Share what you know with people & you will start to gain a following in return.
